When I bring you news from our little town, I am usually an unrepentant clown. This time, however, I am afraid I have something heavy to lay upon you. Sunday, October 17, 2010, Mrs. Maxine Brown Harvey passed away. She had been sick for awhile with what I understand was congestive heart failure, and had been in and out of the hospital in recent days. I will post the link to the obituary as it is posted on the Sharp Funeral Home website. 

We offer our condolences to Mr. Sonny Harvey and his wonderful family at this sad time. Maxine was a true matriarch in the old fashion, and her family revered her as a strong woman of faith.
